Chris is co-owner of Colombo Business Consulting. Chris brings over 35 years of experience in the defense industry to development of programs and strategic plans. His area of expertise is the creative process for business development and establishment of new capabilities.
Chris works with all levels of management to identify new business opportunities and establish the structure and systems necessary to bring the opportunities to fruition. An important aspect of the business development process is the establishment of working relationships between companies and their suppliers and customers. Chris has extensive experience in the contracting process from defining requirements through final negotiation.
Prior to forming Colombo Business Consulting, Chris worked in a variety of leadership roles in the defense industry. He has significant experience in task planning, program management, change management, and compliance with the International Trade in Arms Regulations (ITAR). His academic experience includes a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rochester and an M.S. in Metallurgy from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Chris enjoys the shooting sports and is an active participant in several different disciplines. Action pistol and skeet are his main interests. His interest in metallurgy has led him to bullet casting and reloading, while his education as a mechanical engineer is applied to various gunsmithing problems. Chris promotes the shooting sports as an instructor for basic pistol safety and hunter safety classes.
